Although the basic form is based on writing instruments from the late 1950s, the octagonal form imbues the original with Kaweco's DNA. The pure design of the writing instrument is perfectly matched with the sturdy aluminum body, chrome-plated elements and highly scratch-resistant anodized treatment. In particular, the handle has a convex shape, in contrast to other Kaveco series, making it clearly recognizable as a writing instrument. The optimal shaft length provides enough space for Kaweco's large standard converters. This can be screwed onto the handle thanks to the thread. So, in addition to Kaweco ink cartridges, you can also fill them from ink glasses. The Kaweco Original is the perfect balance for long uncapped writing sessions. Kaweco offers 11 colorful inks, either as ink cartridges or in the inkwell, and suitable standard converters to create the inks. Thanks to the screw mechanism, all alternatives to the 060 spring can be used with this fountain pen.
