This is an ideal solution for dyno run setup to keep an eye on cooling efficiency as it isn't the greatest compared to the open road.
In general, the cooler the compressed air the better power gains you will receive from your engine.
You could also couple the gauge with another one to read the initial ambient temperature before the turbo or supercharge and after the intercooler to get a true comparison of temperature differences.
