Bamboos are imposing plants native to tropical and subtropical regions, mostly the Far East. They are very vigorous and given the large number of species they can be from a few centimetres tall to considerable dimensions.

GENERAL FEATURES

The plants we commonly call Bamboo (or Bamboo) They belong to the Graminaceae family (Poaceae), with more than 75 genera and over 1200 species. In the case of Bamboo, we cannot therefore speak of a single genus but of several genera that group together extraordinary plants whose properties and characteristics have meant that they have spread from their places of origin practically throughout the world.

Bamboos are plants native to tropical and subtropical regions, mostly the Far East, especially China and Japan, although we also find spontaneous species in Africa, Oceania and America.
