Developed by Audinate, Dante is now the standard for digital audio distribution in the professional audio world. Dante devices connected via an Ethernet network can communicate and route audio between them with very little latency. DAN-RX provides a simple way to convert stereo feeds from Dante networks to analog audio. The DAN-RX is equipped with an XLR balanced output for connecting to a microphone input on a mixing board, an amplifier, powered speakers, etc. In live sound applications, DAN-RX can be used to route audio back to the stage or to a small PA system or recorder in a remote room. The 3.5mm headphone output on the main unit can be used to test audio before connecting to a PA system or for monitoring with headphones. Equipped with independent level controls, it is useful for events where multiple people need to be monitored with a personal monitor system. DAN-RX is equipped with a 24-bit/96kHz D/A converter to achieve excellent audio quality. Connecting to a Dante network is as simple as connecting to a network audio system using standard Cat5e or Cat6 cables. DAN-TX supports PoE (Power over Ethernet), but a power adapter is included in case PoE is not available. When DAN-RX is connected to a Dante network, it appears as a 2-channel receive device in the Dante Controller software.
