The FT232RL based USB to TTL Serial Cable is designed using the FT232RL chipset. The cable provides a quick and easy way to connect devices with TTL level serial interfaces to USB.
This is an FTDI USB-TTL serial converter cable. It looks like a USB cable with a connector, but the FT232RL is built into the USB-A connector. Serial communication with a PC is possible simply by adding a pin header to the board. It is ideal for applications where serial communication is not normally required but would like to be possible during maintenance.
This USB-to-Serial UART (TTL Level) Converter Cable allows you to quickly and easily convert your microcontroller's UART serial I/O to USB. The pin assignment (signal lines are 3.3V input/output) is Black: GND, Green: RXD (input), White: TXD (output). The new transparent shell and LED light indicate TX (blue) / RX (green) status, making device debugging and data transfer monitoring more intuitive and easier.
It can be powered by USB bus power, so there is no need for a separate power supply. In addition, since it uses TTL logic level, it can be connected to a microcontroller without an external level conversion IC.
The 3V3 TTL to USB converter cord is compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8, 8.1, 7 (32, 64-bit), 2008/XP/Vista/CE, Mac OS, and Linux 2.4 and above.
This is a USB serial conversion cable with a logic level of 3.3V. At first glance, it looks like a regular USB cable, but it has an FT232RL embedded in the USB plug, making it a genuine USB serial interface.
If you are planning to build a circuit board in the future, designing it with this pin layout will be very convenient, as you will be able to interface with your PC simply by plugging in this cable. We recommend this for maintenance and debugging purposes.
