The Corsair was a masterpiece fighter plane of the U.S. Navy. This plastic model assembly kit features its signature F4U-1D and a Moto-Tug, used to tow aircraft carriers.
1/48 scale. The F4U-1D Corsair is 205mm long and 236mm wide (with wings extended). The Moto-Tug is 62mm long and 29mm wide.
The model faithfully captures the Corsair's distinctive, rugged style, as well as the F4U-1D's distinctive features, such as its elevated cockpit and new, thicker propeller.
The unique inverted gull wings are reproduced in a folded position. They can also be assembled in an extended position.
In addition to the two drop tanks, eight rocket launchers are also included.
The Moto-Tug's large-diameter twin tires and large bumper are faithfully reproduced for a rich three-dimensional appearance. Connect it to the Corsair with the tow bar for added display and scenic appeal.
Two types of tow bars are included: one that attaches to the aircraft's tail wheel and one that attaches to the main wheels.
The set includes figures of the pilot and a worker operating the Mototug, as well as three types of decals.
