This is a competition model designed by Spin Gear, a company that has been dealing in kendama both domestically and internationally for over 10 years since the dawn of the street kendama boom.
The large cup and high-grip balls are designed to suit the current competitive scene, making them easy to use even for beginners. The hollow structure created by hollowing out the center plate and placing a lid on it provides excellent weight balance.
The balls are finished with the classic sticky coating, which keeps the ball in place. The coating is thick and provides excellent grip. The ball diameter is 62.5mm, and the hole size is 23.5mm. All four colors feature a striped design that makes them easy to see when rotating. The hole position and rotation direction are easy to see.
[Specifications] Sticky coating / Balance hole in the center tray: Yes. Balance hollow + clutch spot structure / Bearing included as standard in the thread stopper / 1 spare thread and threader included
[Wood] Ken: Beech (only the middle plate clutch spot is cherry) / Tama: Beech [Size] Large plate: approx. 49mm / Small plate: approx. 46mm / Middle plate: approx. 40mm / Plate body width: approx. 75.5mm / Ken height: approx. 170mm
I believe this is a must-have Kendama for anyone who has the opportunity to play with small children. Children's centers and after-school care centers tend to prioritize cost and choose cheap toy Kendama, which often end up being less user-friendly and less playful than competitive Kendama. This beginner's Kendama was designed to make the basic "Ozara" and "Moshikame" Kendama easier to master than competitive Kendama, making it a powerful ally for encouraging first-time Kendama players to achieve success. The ball's diameter is slightly smaller than a standard Kendama, making it lighter, making it easy for even children and seniors to lift. The bowl is also larger than the competition size, so the ball gets stuck deep inside and is less likely to fall. Even when tilted to the angle shown in the photo in "Point 5," there's absolutely no chance of it falling, so even small children who can't maintain a straight angle can successfully perform the "Ozara" Kendama. In addition, the difference between the large and small plates is obvious at a glance, so those who have the opportunity to teach Kendama can easily teach them how to hold it and the difference between the plates, which is a great way to start before stepping up to competitive Kendama.
Highly recommended as a hand Kendama!
