Aoshima's Waterline series has been revamped with even greater precision!
The outfitting parts have been redesigned based on historical research. Numerous sliding mechanisms have been incorporated into the mold to accurately reproduce the intricate details of 1/700 scale. We present the Waterline series, reborn with even greater precision.
The Taitaka was originally completed as the Nippon Yusen Kaisha passenger ship Kasuga Maru, but was requisitioned and commissioned as the first of several converted merchant ships to serve as a special aircraft carrier. While she did not see notable success in naval battles, she was active in transporting troops and aircraft, supporting the front lines. This kit is a 1/700 scale plastic model kit of the aircraft carrier Taitaka. With a focus on essential parts, it is simple, easy to assemble, and accurately reproduces the ship. Newly designed outfitting, including triple 25mm machine guns, has been added, effectively capturing the precision and intricacy of 1/700 scale.
