Product Introduction

After deploying to Misawa Air Base, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 8th Squadron upgraded from the F-1 to the F-4EJ Kai, operating the aircraft as a "support fighter." The aircraft is equipped with air-to-ship guided missiles, a unique feature of a support attack aircraft whose mission also includes ground and anti-ship attacks. The squadron has also made a significant impact as a support fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, conducting live-fire bombing training with the F-4EJ Kai during overseas exercises. This kit depicts the squadron's F-4EJ Kai in its blue maritime camouflage.
