The product is based on the ship's mast in 1944 when it was equipped with a Type 13 radar. Two types of stickers are included: realistic stickers featuring the chrysanthemum crest and the Hinomaru flag of carrier-based aircraft, as well as name stickers perfect for display. The ship includes two sets of Zero three-seat floatplanes. Etched parts are included to capture fine details that are difficult to recreate with injection molded parts.

Etched parts include handrails, ladders, catapults, funnel caps, and more.
