In "Challengers!", players compete in a tournament called a Flag Battle.
After seven preliminary rounds, the top two players with the most fans will compete in a final to determine the winner.
Each round is divided into a Deck Phase and a Match Phase.
During the Deck Phase, players move to the venue (play mat) according to the tournament schedule, where they acquire new cards and remove unnecessary cards to strengthen their decks.
Once their decks are complete, the Match Phase begins, where they battle one opponent.
During a match, the card with the highest number on the field holds the flag, and opponents must reveal their decks until their number exceeds that of the card holding the flag.
When a card's number becomes higher than that of the current flag holder, the offense and defense roles are switched, and the previous flag holder is benched.
Many cards have abilities that are activated when they enter the field and when they are removed to the bench, adding to the battle's variety with various elements, such as synergies between categories.
The match ends when no more cards can surpass the flag holder's number, or when the bench is full, and the winner wins fans.
Seven preliminary rounds will be held, and the top two players in terms of fan engagement will advance to the finals to face off against each other.
While the actual battles simply involve flipping cards, players can also enjoy the thrill of strengthening their decks while taking card abilities into account to create various combos.
