Tiger I Photo Collection (5) War Machine Report No. 136

This is the fifth photo collection of the German Tiger I tank, the legendary steel beast that dominated the battlefields of World War II and terrified the Allied forces. The 503rd Heavy Tank Battalion was transferred from the Eastern Front, where defeat was looming toward the end of the war, to meet the Allied forces in Normandy. Also featured are battlefield photographs and illustrations of the Tiger I of the 510th Battalion, which was formed in 1944 as the last heavy tank battalion.
