A new series chronicling the Beatles' precious, unreleased live performances.
The first instalment is a rare collection of shows from 1963, the year of their meteoric rise.
Reaching back-to-back hits with "Please Please Me" and "She Loves You," The Beatles' popularity was on the rise, and their first overseas tour since their debut was to Sweden.
This release includes the complete radio and TV shows from October 24th and October 30th, both of which were previously included in the official "Anthology" edition.
This was a time when they performed numerous live shows in Hamburg and the Cavern.
Paul's opening vocal count of "1, 2, 3, 4!" (which is cut from the official version for some reason) is full of energy.
This is one of the most passionate performances in Beatles history, tight and passionate.
The TV live performance saw numerous encores,
and each time the host allowed it, the audience's excitement rose!
Paul's shout during the final song, "Long Sally," was truly intense!
Shortly after returning to the UK, on November 4th,
they performed at a royal concert attended by Queen Elizabeth the Mother, Princess Margaret, and other members of the royal family.
John's legendary MC line, "Those in the cheaper seats please clap, and those in other seats please jingle your jewels,"
made this historic live performance legendary. This recording also includes all four Beatles songs.
While a portion of the British TV show "Morecambe & Wise" was included on the Anthology album, this release includes the entire album, including "All My Loving," whose master was lost.
Finally, as a bonus, we've included four extremely rare tracks from a live recording at the Cavern Club, recorded on acetate by Brian Epstein back in 1962.
These tracks include "One After 909," which was already performed onstage at the time, and "I Saw Her Standing There," featuring harmonica.
While the sound quality is poor due to the vinyl being remastered, these are incredibly valuable recordings that will astound even the most disc aficionados.
This series thoroughly researches and records unreleased Beatles live performances.
While the sound quality varies, their rarity is immeasurable.
For all Beatles fans!
A brief Japanese commentary is included on the inside jacket.
Released on a digipak CD from Eternal Grooves.
