The Rosette Diamond series features floral patterns and rosette motifs. The design is inspired by Italian bookbinding from 1620. The original book contained circular "tondo" style illustrations. A characteristic of 17th-century bookbinding is the rich ornamentation of the central part of the cover. The cover, with its central diamond shape adorned with ivy tendrils, is a typical example of the bookbinding style of this era.
