The engine shed is a single-track, dead-end structure, and the doors close when a train pushes the switch at the back.
The length of the engine shed is approximately 120 mm, long enough to accommodate one basic Z gauge train.
When combined with the separately sold C006 Automatic Shuttle Operation Switch, trains can automatically enter and depart the engine shed.
The engine shed has cutouts for installing the sensor cable or narrow feeder cable that comes with the separately sold C006 Automatic Shuttle Operation Switch.
You can also illuminate the interior of the engine shed by installing the separately sold A017-1 or A017-2 LED units.
A more realistic engine shed can be recreated by using decorative labels.
