In 2008, the "Galaxy Express 999 CD-BOX (9-disc set)" was released in a limited edition of 999 units to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series' broadcast. This limited edition release features five of the most popular titles. Many people were unable to purchase the limited edition due to its high price, or found it sold out by the time they realized it, and many are eagerly awaiting its reissue.
