Kokuzo Bosatsu is a Buddha with the power to save all people who are troubled with his merit as great as the universe. He shows his right palm, expressing his mercy to listen to people's wishes, and in his left hand he holds a wish-granting jewel so that people's wishes will come true. He generously bestows upon us the wisdom, memory, and knowledge that he has taken from his storehouse, which is infinite and vast like the "void." It is said that one can gain infinite memory and the wisdom of Buddha, and the origin of the words "memorize by heart" and "remember by heart" comes from the "sky" in the name of Kokuzo Bosatsu.
