This hugely popular RPG, originally released for the Gamecube in August 2003, is now available on the PlayStation 2. It tells the story of a girl who resolves to become an angel in order to save the world, and the boy who fights to protect her, as they embark on a long and endless journey. Of course, the PS2 version also features special animations and additional events.

The story is set in a world known as "Symphonia." The evil darkness, Desian, sealed away by the hero Mithos 4,000 years ago, has secretly resurrected. Mana, the source of life, has been stolen, and the world faces an unprecedented crisis. The only hope left for the people is the arrival of a goddess of rebirth, entrusted by the goddess Mater, who will once again seal Desian.

Colette, a young girl living in the oracle village of Iseria, revolves around her and her childhood friend, Lloyd. "Is happiness achieved only at the cost of sacrifice truly just?" Lloyd begins to wonder. How will the nameless heroes' journey to regenerate the world ultimately end?

In addition to a stellar cast of voice actors, including Konishi Katsuyuki, Mizuki Nana, Orikasa Ai, and Touma Yumi, the charming character designs by Fujishima Kosuke will double the enjoyment of the game. It's also packed with fun things you can only find on the PS2, such as a theme song by the popular unit "day after tomorrow," new anime parts, and additional events. (Matsumoto Hideyuki)
