The Goddess Tarot, a beautiful and powerful deck, reinvents tarot symbolism with the stories and imagery of the goddesses, breathing new life into the tarot with meticulously detailed illustrations. Each Major Arcana card tells a different goddess story, while each Minor Arcana suit corresponds to an element—earth, water, air, or fire—and a specific goddess. The Suit of Cups is associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love; the Suit of Swords with Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic and salvation; the Suit of Pentacles with Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity; and the Suit of Stars with Freyja, the Norse goddess of creation. The artwork is exquisitely textured, even the sandy brown borders give it a textured feel. The deck consists of 78 cards—22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana—in the Marseille style, with the 8th representing Justice and the 11th representing Power. The card backs are indistinguishable between upright and reversed positions. The deck comes in a caramel box case.
