The largest and most definitive collection of Ito Jakuchu's works available today.
In 2000, an exhibition of Ito Jakuchu, a painter from the Edo period, was held in Kyoto. It's said that another opportunity to see such a large collection of his work would be impossible for another 10 years. Even so, only 11 of his 30 masterpieces, "A Picture Book of Animals and Plants," were included. This book is a comprehensively revised catalog of the exhibition, which left audiences stunned and gasping. This definitive collection of Ito Jakuchu's works includes a comprehensive collection of 200 works, including all of his masterpieces, works that could not be exhibited due to unavoidable circumstances, and seven works discovered after the exhibition. New photographs have been used whenever possible, and every detail has been captured in the most detailed possible detail. If the exhibition continues for another 10 years, this collection is the largest and most definitive collection of Ito Jakuchu's works available today, and it's unlikely that a collection surpassing it will be produced for another 20 years.
