[ecco]
Ecco was founded in 1963 in Bredebro, southern Denmark, by founder Carl Toosby.
As a shoemaker at the time, Carl had a strong passion for creating comfortable shoes.
In 1980, he developed the "direct injection" method, which bonds the upper and polyurethane sole together.
This resulted in lightweight, flexible, and comfortable boots.
"Design follows function" (shoe design should follow the function of the foot, not the other way around).
Ecco's design philosophy is born from the Scandinavian concept of simple, timeless functional beauty.
By stripping away all unnecessary elements and leaving only the essentials, ECCO creates a timeless collection.
ECCO is a rare brand in the world, boasting its own leather factory, manufacturing shoes from leather, and even selling them in-house.
By consistently managing design, product development, production, and store operations, the brand strives to create high-quality shoes.
Their in-house-produced, carefully selected leather is used not only for shoes but also for leather products such as bags and wallets, and is also used by luxury brands around the world.
ECCO shoes offer comfortable wear and simple, stylish designs.
Since its founding, the brand has maintained an uncompromising approach, attracting many fans who say, "Once you try them on, you'll be hooked."
In 1991, the brand was appointed footwear supplier to the Danish Royal Family, and today, its products are loved in over 90 countries worldwide.
