Unlike the typical shape where the edges are rounded inward, this design ensures that there is no step or gap inside when the two tins are fitted together. It minimizes stress on ice and liquids. The 35 mm section from the edge is cylindrical, so the short tin fits naturally into the long tin, creating a straight line suitable for shaking. The sides have a gentle curve towards the bottom, allowing for smooth and efficient mixing. You can securely attach the tin without slamming it down, and remove it without applying much force. Born in a city of craftsmanship, "BIRDY. by Erik Lorincz" is a world-class cocktail tool. Applying metal polishing techniques cultivated at an automotive parts manufacturer in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, the polishing techniques performed by skilled craftsmen by hand boast an accuracy of 0.1 microns. "BIRDY. by Erik Lorincz" is a line of cocktail tools created in collaboration with Erik Lorincz, the 10th head bartender of the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel in the UK, which boasts a 125-year history, and the 2010 Diageo World Class Champion. In pursuit of functionality that surpasses conventional wisdom, and condensed into an ultimately simple form, the Boston-style shaker "Double Tin Shaker" was completed after approximately four years of trial and error development with Eric Lorintz. By polishing the ice cubes vertically to match the shaking motion, and leaving irregularities at a 0.1-micron level, it cools faster, mixes more effectively, and creates finer bubbles for a richer flavor. Furthermore, it boasts a design that is gentle on ice, aesthetically pleasing, and features a user-friendly weight balance—attention to detail is evident throughout. 80TIN: Size (approx.)
